Globalibre Interview No.11: DJ Edgar – Rio de Janeiro
Dear Listeners,
here we follow our idea again – with a little delay – introducing you some of Globalibres international blog friends or better favourite artists which follow our passion for fantastic bass music!
Today it is DJ Edgar from Rio de Janeiro. So read this interview about DJ Edgars point of view about the actual developing of bass music and blogs.
Globalibre: Please describe your music-style and how did you develop it?
DJ Edgar: My style is unique, baptized by myself. I gave the name of “Baile Funk With High Quality”. In addition to my exclusive productions and other DJ’s (friends or not). Mix everything that can be mixed, Electro, Trance, Brazilian Music, World Music, Reggae, Hip-Hop. All possible rhythms Baile Funk style … without losing the characteristic sound of the ghetto of Rio de Janeiro. That’s what made my unique sound and respected in over 30 countries.
Globalibre: What’s your personal opinion of music-blogs?
DJ Edgar: I give full support to the Music-Blog, The record companies have always been the Mafia “buyable”. Disclosing only the big and “rich media products.” Internet, the greatest force at the time, is what I think
Globalibre: How have blogs impacted upon the music industry?
DJ Edgar: I think they are increasingly necessary. The good music has its place with the internet. when he was only in the hands of the majors, but it was “sellable” had a chance, not now … very good job of producers without large financial recusrsos have seen the possibility of big hits.
Globalibre: Impact of blogs: Greater or lesser in the future?
DJ Edgar: Blogs. Much More. And grow the more the better
Globalibre: In your opinion: What’s the next big thing in dance-music?
DJ Edgar: An eternal secret, I hope the Baile Funk With High Quality of the DJ Edgar, ehehehehehe.
