I got the head full of impressions from yesterday and surely want to share them here. A night of success, of fantastic live music and of 2 plates full of humus have been the main parts. So where to start the story…?
Since Tuesday we host couchsurfer Liron Man for the second time who is a brilliant hang player from Israel. On his first visit we start up our friendship and shared until this time many precious moments. For example in summer – a hang session together with Cajón player and also good friend Sascha Saletico in my garden in front of a small audience of close friends. All listening to his hang playing without talking and following the spherical and meditational tunes under a night sky full of stars.
Yesterday there was a spontaneous possibility for the guests of Subrosa Pub in the north of Dortmund to listen to Liron because he joined the ‘TALENTschuppen: Rös’chens musicians’ stage formerly known as AcousticOpen’ organized by famous north city singer and songwriter Boris Gott (see link down below!). Thank’s again to Frauke who gave the hint! Liron performed three tracks, one together with Sascha and the audience was freaking out when the songs ended! So the prize for the best performance goes to: LIRON MAN – not really a surprise!!! Everybody was happy about that and this result includes that he plays 3 more songs. What they didn’t expected: Liron changed the instrument and plays 2 songs of high energy flamenco songs on the guitar. Flamenco influences him not only because he is based in Jerez de la Frontera living next to a school for flamenco dancing, singing and guitar playing, no! – it is his passion!
After this event with a lot of positive response, we have been very hungry so where to eat in Dortmund at 23:30 p.m.??? Liven got the idea to check out a Lebanese Restaurant on Münsterstraße. It offers really good food and especially humus, the dish Liron likes most! But night didn’t ended with eating and smoking shisha. Liron plays again a real private gig in front of us, the staff of the restaurant and 3 more Turkish men. I don’t have to explain the reactions – they have been the same as in Subrosa!
